Bulletin One
First Week’s Bulletin Announcement
Plan Now to Participate in our Senior Inventory Project.
Beginning next week, and continuing for three weeks, NAME OF CHURCH will provide an opportunity for members and guests to participate in a Senior Ministry Inventory. This Inventory is being conducted in congregations throughout our synod with the encouragement and co-sponsorship of our synod bishop.
The 174 question Inventory will have a direct benefit for everyone who takes it because you will receive a personal report and evaluation of your responses. This personal report will help you focus on the life decisions that require your attention, and the attention of your family, as you grow older. Every person’s individual report will be fully confidential.
Participants in the Inventory will also receive an indirect benefit because NAME OF CHURCH will receive an anonymous summary of all eldercare needs that are identified through the Inventories. This congregational ministry summary of senior needs will be a tremendous help as we make short and long-range plans to serve our congregation and community better.
We hope that everyone in our congregation who is 50 years old or older (or even approaching 50) will participate in our Senior Inventory Project. As your pastor I have set a goal of 100% participation of all of our members who are 50+. I have set this goal because I believe this Inventory is absolutely crucial to the development of our congregation’s ministry in the 21st Century. Next week I will write more about why I consider this Inventory so very important. I hope you will help me make this 100% participation goal a reality.
Make plans now to pick up your Inventory next week. Inventories will be available at the end of each worship service for the next three weeks. The cost to take the inventory is $12. If you plan to pay by check, make your check payable to NAME OF CHURCH. You will pay the processing fee when you pick up the Inventory. Through your participation you will help yourself, our church and the community.
Thank you, Pastor NAME OF PASTOR
