Fourth Week’s Bulletin Announcement

Today we conclude our Senior Inventory Project – Attention Everyone Who is 50 and Older

Today is the last week to pick-up your Senior Ministry Inventory. The Inventories will be available following the service in the back of the church (or wherever your Inventory Committee has decided to set-up their table(s). We want to encourage everyone who is 50 years old or older to help us by taking this Inventory. Remember, as your pastor I believe this Inventory is so important that I have set a personal goal of 100% participation of everyone in our congregation who is 50 years old or older. Only you can help us reach this goal and we have only this week left. If you haven’t picked up your Inventory during the past weeks please do so today.

As I have mentioned in previous bulletin announcements, this 174 question Senior Inventory will provide a direct benefit for you because you will receive a personal report and evaluation of your responses. Participants in the Inventory will also receive an indirect benefit because NAME OF CHURCH will receive an anonymous summary of all eldercare needs that are identified by the Inventories. This will be a tremendous help as we make short and long-range plans to better serve our congregation and community.

The cost to take the Inventory is $12. When you consider the report you personally receive and the report our congregation receives, this $12 processing fee is a real bargain. If you want to pay by check, make your check payable to the church. The processing fee is collected when you pick up the Inventory. Through your participation you will help yourself, our church and our community.

For all those who participate, I want to give you an indication when you can expect to receive your personal report. All completed Inventories should be returned to our church office by next Sunday. The following week we will send all completed Inventories for processing. From the time that our completed Inventories are received for processing, it may take 6-7 weeks for you to receive your individual report. It may take less time but we cannot make any promises. This Inventory is currently being implemented in more than 3,000 congregations with over 100,000 individuals. The magnitude of the task requires the time delay. Your individual report will be returned to NAME OF CHURCH in a sealed window envelope. When we receive them we will notify you and you can pick them up at the church office.
