Church Resources finds our wellspring for all our ministries in the nature of God, the substitutionary atonement of Christ, and the authoritative disclosure of God’s character and will in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. Congregation Research: The Senior Ministry Inventory

The Senior Ministry Inventory is a ministry oriented research tool of 174 questions that provides an assessment of needs and preparedness for pre-retirement and retirement age individuals and their families. The Senior Ministry Inventory is administered through congregations and provides an objective source of data that enables a congregation to meet the needs of their pre-senior and senior community.

News anchorman Tom Brochaw, in his book by the same title, identified the Builder Generation as "The Greatest Generation." The designation "Greatest Generation" is especially true for the senior generation within the church. As loyal citizens, they won a great war and built a great country. And many of this great generation went on, in the name and power of Christ, to accomplish even greater things... things that will last for all eternity. In 1990 Search Institute, under the leadership of Dr. Merton Strommen, identified the senior generation (55+) as having the most mature faith and strongest institutional loyalty within the Church. Of all generations in the church today... the generation of seniors is the greatest.

Church Resources has established a multi-tiered website dedicated to networking national church bodies, regional judicatories, local congregations and individuals as together we seek to focus on the two primary arenas of Senior Ministry: (1) The need for increased ministry to Seniors; and (2) The increased need for Seniors to minister. judicatories, congregations and individuals who participate in the Senior Ministry Inventory are linked together through the greatestgeneration.net

Seniors and World Missions

Church Resources is committed to advance the World Christian Movement among seniors. In support of the World Chrtistian Movement, Church Resources seeks to identify and equip Christian seniors who have a burden to reach at least one people group outside their own. Following the invitation of our Lord Jesus Christ to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest field, Church Resources reserves 10% of our total income to: (1) promote the importance of the World Christian Movement among seniors; and (2) establish 24,000 prayer teams of seniors who each pray for at least one of the 24,000 Unreached People Groups. Congregation & Judicatory Consulting and Awareness Workshops

Church Resources' staff are available to consult with congregations and provide Senior Ministry Awareness Workshops. These Workshops focus on the affects of mass aging on congregations and the communities they serve. Contact our office for more information about Awareness Workshops

Assembly Presentations and Workshops

Greatest Generation Rallies

Church Resources sponsors regionally based Greatest Generation Rallies. These rallies combine great speakers, great fun, great music, great fellowship and great opportunities for spiritual growth for great people. They simply are the greatest! Bible Conferencing

Cliff Pederson, President and Director of Research for Church Resources, is available for a limited number of preaching and bible conferencing engagements. Prior to founding the ministry of Church Resources, Cliff was a professor (6 years) and president (14 years) at the Lutheran Bible Institute in California.
